Where has the time gone?
I can not believe that these two amazing people are about to get married. This is Misha & Dan. Misha and I have known each other since Junior High School and I don’t know where the time has gone. We’ve kept in touch on and off through our busy lives but every time we see eachother it’s like no time has passed at all. She has been a wonderful, caring, and loving person all of these years. No matter where life takes her she gracefully travels where the wind blows her. It’s that beautiful completely bohemian life; she follows her heart completely with unfailing faith in it.
So, a few months back, I needed a little extra money to just help cover some bills for my family and we were going through a hard patch and I worked a little part time at her store. One day she walks in and tells me she’s engaged!!! I couldn’t believe it! It was such exciting news and I knew the man she said ‘yes’ to would be worthy of her love. This man is Dan and he takes care of her. From the moment she wakes up to the moment she lays her head down to sleep at night, he takes care of her. She went on about her ring because they were having it custom designed and the way she spoke and still speaks about Dan made my own heart flutter. The meaning and thought they put into it is truly beautiful but not as beautiful as their love for one another.
I’ve only met Dan a handful of times and within those few times I knew they are perfect together. Sometimes when you see couples together you just know that they belong together and afterwards you can’t imagine them not together. This is one of those! To be able to capture their engagement was truly an honor and an honor to witness their love for each other.
The morning we set out to do the shoot it was cold and freezing. It was early in the morning and we thought surely we’d have a beautiful winter sunrise as a backdrop. No such sunrise happened as thick clouds and fog rolled in. It’s always a little iffy here in Lubbock, Texas when it comes to weather. It became misty out but was a still a beautiful and crisp winter morning. These two are real troopers with the cold though. You can’t even tell we were out in freezing weather. I adore capturing genuine emotion and I hope that you all love this session as much as I do!
Here is a peek at the beauty I captured that day.
Congratulations to these two! The soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Edwards.
