Sal & Alex | A Styled Retro Elopement | Abernathy, Texas

Last month on May 21st I got to get together with some awesome ladies here in West Texas from the Lubbock, Texas and surrounding area to do an amazing styled elopement shoot. Now, this had been in the works for a few months so I really didn’t know what to expect. I only knew two that were showing up so this was stepping out of my comfort zone a little and I’m so glad I did. I contacted a wonderful friend of mine to model this for us and the other ladies helped to coordinate things with me. What I gained are amazing new friends and colleagues in photography and seeing what beautiful things a local baker, Amy, from Amy’s Creations located in Lubbock, Texas was able to create for this styled elopement wedding session. We went with an adorably retro and 1950’s classic feel for this with an old farm house (with some amazing things in the shop) out on the countryside with gorgeous open fields and Texas sunsets. Details include a genuine marquis cut solitaire diamond ring in a classic and simple 14 karat gold band, pearls, handmade brooch bouquet and birdcage veil, as well as a beautiful pink dress designed and originally made in the 1950’s. The icing on the cake? A sweet pug named Pearl! I hope you all enjoy this gorgeous styled elopement wedding session!
