I love “love” and this reception had so much of it.
I was contact by an old friend to see if I’d be available to photograph her reception as she had just gotten married and they were trying to put together something that reflected them and their families enjoying their first official family event together and were kind of getting all of the final details finished. It encompassed so many cool things from our own community here in Lubbock, Texas and I was just so honored to be able to witness and be present there to capture everything for her and her new wife. The reception was at our very own Charles Adams Studio Project 5 & J Gallery and had catering provided by Crusty’s Woodfire Pizza here in Lubbock, Texas. Upon arriving on site for this I was welcomed by the amazing sounds of Gypsy Jane & The Travelers. The couples’ families are musical too and Sarah, the groom, is actually part of The Goners and if you haven’t heard their music definitely check them out! Their families and friends all helped to put everything together like little details from the centerpieces, importing a wonderful wine from Bordeaux France, and adding to the musical entertainment with an open jam session later into the day as the evening wound down. It was so eclectic and artistic and as an artist I loved every minute, every detail, and every moment I was able to capture. Even looking back through this set, it makes me feel so incredibly happy for them.
Congratulations Sarah and Sarah! I hope this new chapter is something amazing and have fun getting to finally say the words “my wife” all day. Haha!
